Wow, Dude! You are pumping out songs like a fucking madman!

Anyway, this is great. I love the chords, yet there were a few chord jumps that felt a little off, but it's not really a big issue. I don't know if I'd call this dubstep, though. There seems to be a distinct lack of growls. Still, great though.

Thanks for the feedback :)
The one thing is that it doesn't have to have growls to be dubstep. This is definitely dubstep, but not as heavy as all my other ones.

Really great song, dude. I can definitely detect elements of Roses, both in structure and musically in general (Holy shit, am I actually starting to be able to detect that stuff?... neat). I found that the chords at the drop were missing a little bit of low end. But, it's certainly not enough for me to deduct anything from my rating.

Also, would you mind giving me some tips, over PM, about how you mixed/mastered the drums to be so punchy. I've recently been using a lot of analog/acoustic drums which are really tough to bring focus to. Whenever you have the time, a bit of a guide, if you will, would be very helpful and much appreciated.

Also, that pluck in the beginning was awesome. I was going to make a song in a similar style as well, called Violets (lol)... pls don't laugh, I'm not creative XD

Thanks heaps dude! Yeh the main reason the chords where missing something is because my headphones broke and I'm waiting on my new pair. So I have to use my brother's shitty cheap headphones, which are bassy as fuck. But anyway, I'd love to give you some tips, but it would be a lot easier over Skype or Discord. Cheers mate ;)

Holy shitoly, man! You certainly have a knack for these orchestral pieces. Now, if you are serious about moving into more electronic styles from time to time, I would be more than happy to help out where I can. Nevertheless, you certainly do have some musical talent, and I am really exited to here what you will make next, regardless of genre. Cuz, to hell with genres, right?

Anyway, cheers c:

Miyolophone responds:

Thanks, man! As far as genres, I'm probably going to try to ease into dubstep with some Xtru-style orchestra-step, because it has a lot of what I know already, and also because, well, Xtrullor. I'm sure I'll need some help with the drop, along with mastering in general— I EQ'ed this one a bit, but I still haven't been able to eliminate some of the clipping and it sounds sort of treble-y on certain platforms. So yes, I'll definitely let you know, look forward to that... or not... your choice...

Cheers c:

This is a really incredible remix of an already awesome song! I do love how you kept the original melodic feel, but you threw in your own flare to it and major props for that.

Might I ask where you got the stems or whatever for the remix and/or if they are still available. It seems like it would be a blast to remix the original!

cheers c:

TheArdor responds:

Thanks a lot :D
If you want to remix it, just search "Sad Machine MIDI" and "Sad Machine Vocals" on Youtube :)

This is really awesome! I love the little chiptune-trance transitions... or are they 'Trance-itions?'. Nomenclature aside, I love the whole track and all the little details here and there that spice it up. Solid job on all fronts.

Cursedsnake responds:

Oh that Trance-itions got me xDDDDD
Thx!

Well, the Structure was a little cattywompus, but that's not really an issue, since you certainly achieved the deathstep feel of rapid bass punches. Sounds design was good, though a couple more sounds thrown in at transition points would be a nice touch for some added flava. Anyway, good job, it certainly sounds good!

Thank you :)
i agree about the structure and the repetitiveness, and thanks for giving feedback :D

I must say, I've had the idea for a clock-themed track forever. (I really love the symbolism of clocks) Nevertheless, this piece is astounding! You are truly a gifted musician even with the small amount of tools at your disposal currently. Everything in the piece just... works. That included the small tale in the description. You've earned these 5 stars. Now take 'em!

Cheers c:

Miyolophone responds:

Thanks man c:
Yeah, my own *gears* were turning for a while trying to get this to work, and getting the structure was kind of *ticking* me off, but eventually I figured it was *time* to power through and not fixate too much on the *minute* details.
Okay, puns aside, I appreciate your compliments :D I can't say how much it means to me when people believe that I have talent.
And I had this whole elaborate backstory for the piece, but I figured the Newgrounds audience wouldn't care. But that little tale does leave out a lot of important details. (Like, what's "the Sparrow"? And what's up with this guy and his dad? Do they not get along?) But I'm glad you liked it anyway...

Cheers c:

Great job on this track, mate! I think the supersaw, or whatever could have benefited from being louder during the drop, but that's probably just me. Other than that little thing, awesome!

Cheers, man c:

KORAII responds:

thanks man :D yeh i dont give one about the terminology. Yeh the chords also weren't quite right. Also only now you follow me? XD no worries

Jeez, your music is always so good. It pulls off a perfect atmosphere, every time!

I've been meaning to ask: Which VSTs do you primarily use? I already use a small group, but it never hurts to check some more out for the future.
Thanks.

Cheers c:

Cursedsnake responds:

Primarily Massive. Sometimes Nexus2 and Harmor to spice things up :P

Without a doubt, my favourite of your songs. I love this one to pieces, so keep it up.

As always: Cheers, man c:

KORAII responds:

i cant believe you unironically gave this a 5 lol
